We had to post the story of this week's CNN Hero on our blog this morning. Betty Makoni, a child rape survivor from Zimbabwe, founded the Girl Child Network. The organization was created to help Zimbabwe's young sex abuse victims. Through GCN, Makoni has helped rescue 35,000 girls from abuse; thousands more have found an empowering community and a public forum in which to speak.
